All right, I'll admit that I enjoyed "The Third Man", "Vertigo", "Psycho", "The Usual Suspects", "The Sixth Sense" and "Memento". However it seems there are a certain group of voters who hype these films out of proportions and like to talk about how brilliant they are. One cannot watch an entire 90+ minutes movie just for a pleasing end and exploration of concept. I keep trying to look up the dictionary definition of "existentialism" but I just can't make it stick. But he has gotten lost in exploring them, so Hope, also a Nine, and some other Nines have been trying to extract him.

As I sat in the packed Sundance theater watching the final scene of John August's, The Nines, I shuttered. He took risks, and accepted major challenges, including filming out of his own house to save budget. Set up as three parts, we start with Ryan as a Famous TV Actor Guy who gets arrested for torching his house (accidentally) and getting high on crack (on purpose) and crashing his car (probably an accident but who knows).
This movies suffers from one major flaw, it goes from being a really good movie to a really bad movie and back again. Apart from these flaws and a musical number during the first act in the film, this film is pretty good. To deal with this kind of emotional trauma, Writer Ryan spends a lot of time in internet cafes around town playing a video game that looks like Still being tailed by this TV crew, Writer Ryan heads to the upfronts in New York for the announcement of his show… except that when he gets there, he finds out he no longer has a show. 04/07/2019 A24.

Then it started raining. Normally, I don't like gimmicky movies. So as expected the best parts of the movie are towards the end but what 'The Nines' lacks is that these pieces get pretty dull and boring at times.
