I also saw an idea to use plastic or fuel line tubing split on one end to wrap around each side of the shelf. 1- Husband - Ladies, this can be very useful to have in your supply stash. Open the bags and start snapping these little halleluiah sanity savers into their rightful place. I have seen on some parts websites whereas they have liner supports but would not know if this fixes the issue. "Cool" idea (see what I did there?). If you line your shelves with plastic wrap or Press ‘n Seal, you can simply peel that off when a spill occurs, saving you some cleaning trouble. The shelves on the refrigerator door keep falling off. The baskets will be able to slide in and out as normal if you space the C clamps every couple inches. I need a fix for this. It takes up the wiggle space that's causing the shelf to fall in.
5 years ago We have the same problem with our Samsung French door refrigerator. We have replaced so many shelves that I have lost count. Do not place much pressure on it or it will break again.After completing all the steps for repairing the refrigerator shelf bar, the refrigerator shelf bar will be all new. It appears as if the liner is bowed outwards. 1 - 10 to 15 year old GE Profile Arctic side by side refrigerator freezer. The shelves fall out of the door when you open the door! I need a fix for this. Seriously - worth every dollar.The great thing is these little C clamps snap right into place…just like they were made for this – oh wait, they kinda were. Yep. These C clamps will be installed horizontally. NO, the items in the shelves are not too heavy. I have a Maytag refrigerator and my question pertains to the refrigerator door. on Yay fixes for super annoying problems!

This fix will be useful for individuals whose refrigerator shelf bar is broken and need a cost friendly repair without breaking the bank.Grasp the shelf on each end and lift each straight up.Disengage the two hooks from the molded tabs on the liner.Remove any tape that was holding the shelf bar together.Take a paper towel or towel and dry off the shelf bar.Try fitting the pieces together to make sure that the pieces are intact and that nothing is missing.Spread the Loctite 60 Sec Universal glue along the edge of both sides of the bar.Carefully join the pieces together and hold them tight for two minutes.The tape comes off easily without leaving any gluey residue.Once the glue dries, take the blue painter’s tape off.Take the shelf bar and line the hooks over the tabs and press it firmly back into the refrigerator door.Do not place too much pressure on the shelf, so it won't crack again.After completing all the steps for repairing the refrigerator shelf bar, the refrigerator shelf bar will be all new.
However, be gentle with the shelf bar. Sadly, it has to be done, but there is a way to reduce the chances of horrible, sticky messes.
