That might be to do with weight saving though above everything else. These posts will still flex between 5-15mm on impact but … Seat Post and Seat Tube SAVE seat tubes have a sloping design that is designed to help smooth rides in concert with Cannondale’s smaller diameter SAVE seatposts.
