For me this song is a manifestation of what I really am, what I really want to do… but my hands are often too short.I first remember hearing it when you sung it at your father-in-law’s (who was my mission president) funeral. I always wanted to be a “bearer of the message”,everything the song is about, but at the moment it seemed quite impossible, but this song helped me to find a way out. I loved this song the first time I heard my sister in law sing it in a group. I'm sure it was originally conceived as a song about the missionary experience, but in reality, it also applies to any disciple of Christ.
