I even work for another company...YES I agree Haro is the shizz and they still do the shift series but the porter is pretty much the same frame just slightly different frame geometry and I me "slight" differences!!!!! Bob is credited with pioneering the freestyle aspect of BMX, and has made it a point to push for evolution and innovation in his BMX bikes for all riding styles. As for haro, just because 1 company copies the design of another does not make them the same bike. They are nice bikes, and nicer than a Haro, but at Haro's price level the quality and specs are pretty unbeatable.

It also costs only 1100, compared to the coiler's 1600. you get what you pay for no matter what you think unless your comparing campagnolo record with dura-ace.

They make decent bikes, but most people don't even consider them as true mountain bikes. (High end brands are the only concern obviously) P.T.W … Just because you ride a piece of **** bike doesn't mean you should get all pissed off at those that don't. eh idk my x7 is pretty much beyond stock and is set up pretty nice ,well probably set up with just about the nicest product on the market ..........and sorry to hear you live so far im sure there is better riding near you then there is here :/i think its the fact they made shit bmx wwith 1 peice cranks and they were the only brand of bmx to get back in the day. I know like 99.9999% of bikes are made by them, but I want to know for sure. Haro Bikes was founded by Bob Haro in 1978. So a build date on a frame of 2003 usually means the bike was sold in 2004. Bob helped many great riders get started. ?I love Haro, in fact I used to work for them in SoCal.

I've compared it to Kona's Coiler. I'm thinking of getting the Haro X2, but some people are telling me that Haro makes crappy bikes. It also costs only 1100, compared to the coiler's 1600. A bike with a 2003 build date will be listed in the 2004 Haro Catalogue and would have the 2004 decal set and parts. I've worked at a bike shoppe for 6 years and have owned more bikes than you can probably name, including all the bikes I named in earlier posts. Bob Haro has been called the father of freestyle. The king kikapu freakin sucks the bike is rougher than my hardtail.
