The action elements are highly  and the film keeps a nice pace throughout. The problem is, however, that every death after that point sort of pales in comparison. Until it's not.

es, Roth's film has its expected moments of high transgression, but you can never get away from the fact that all these references have been attached to the most hackneyed teen slasher narrative imaginable.

The cast does nothing to improve this painful disaster. The problem is however that I think there's a lot of filler in the lead-up to the group being caught by the tribe. Vote in Round 3 of the DC Heroes Showdown I can't exactly recommend it wholeheartedly, but it's not a bad rental in the least. But it's not like this movie really needs a sequel.
