My Stagea 260RS is currently mapped to 575hp (497awhp), the guy who tunes my car told me to not go higher than 1.4 bars of pressure with my GT2530 turbos when running a stock bottom. If I don't recall wrong, I've seen people here with ~600hp on stock bottoms.A friend drove his R32 GTR for 80 000 kilometers with 560hp and a rev limit set to 8500 on a stock bottom RB26 over a 5 year period, the oil pump gears finally broke due to usage of launch for 2 summers. My Stagea 260RS is currently mapped to 575hp (497awhp), the guy who tunes my car told me to not go higher than 1.4 bars of pressure with my GT2530 turbos when running a stock bottom. If I don't recall wrong, I've seen people here with ~600hp on stock bottoms.A friend drove his R32 GTR for 80 000 kilometers with 560hp and a rev limit set to 8500 on a stock bottom RB26 over a 5 year period, the oil pump gears finally broke due to usage of launch for 2 summers.Mines making around 465rwhp stock bottom end for around 10'000kms so far on 98No issues, compression still at 160psi each pot, done 2 drag days with another coming soon, on around 21psiBut I trust my tuner 100% and I'm prepared to rebuild "when" the engine has enoughTheir is no magical limit depends on alot of variables like tune/condition of engine/fuel/ max revs etc etcYuh. so I ask you, what do we think the limit … The search function still works I believe "Part of the reason for the popularity of the Skyline GTR's RB26 engines is due to the strength of the stock components. Link to … Highly unlikely. Have seen people with only 450rwhp end up having to rebuild after 2-3 years of circuit racing as the motors just started to breathe heavy. Well, if all I wanted was 450whp, I wouldn't have spent the time, $$, and headache on doing an RB25 swap in the first place.

450whp is pump gas SR20 numbers.

Doing some simple math that will tell you that the RB26 can hold up to 211-250 hp/liter.

The Mercury Motorsport GTR is making a whopping 600kw on a stock N1 block with this fuel.

hi i have had 648hp+513lb/ft on standard engine.unfortunately now it is bust due to the belt failing on the way home just at 70 from the pod in may.it ran for 8 months fine until then so it is possible for power on stock engines.waiting for a new lump now. And you always hear of people that say they have big hp on standard internals. Thanks.

The way I see it is can you afford to put a piston through the side of your block? Wasnt there a drag car in the states making close to 1000 hp, completely stock engine with only external additions. Highly unlikely. El Bueno, El Malo, El Feo. Mattias@Sweden.

for track use, with those figures, its anyones guess how long the engine will last. Each block is cleaned, inspected, machined and built, IN-HOUSE.

block, rods, pistons and crank.from that list Paul, i would say the pistons will be your weak point at anywhere between 500 and 600hp.i read somewhere that 700 had been achieved several times, big enough turbo(s) and a conservative map was fine.Hopefully i'll be about 550 - 580 on standard internals soon.....I had a 33 that was running 470 atw as a track car and my 34 has been at 490 atw with loads of abuse, Im just keen to see if that could be increased with some degree of reliabilityHave a look with Search - it's been covered many times on here and there are lots of perspectives on this one.Quite a few people have gone to 500-550 on their daily drivers??

You cannot tell the difference. If you're looking for maximum output from your engine, this is the solution for you. Besides when you get to 400 hp at the rears (depending on your if it's an r32, 33, 34) some gearboxs will start to get a bit weak.I actually read it as a stupid question thats been asked and answered countless times on this forum.A forum community dedicated to Nissan Skyline GTR owners and enthusiasts. My personal feeling for a limit on these things is 500whp, and I'd put a very forgiving 30,000 km life on it at most (street driving with some fun here and there).

2JZ: The 2JZ stock internals can hold up 800 horsepower. JavaScript is disabled.

The first weak point is the rod end bolts. Can it be done on the RB engine? It's as simple as that really.+1 how long is a piece of string. Some people will have seen more, most would have seen less.
