I don't do much of it anymore as my hands bother me, but with your tutorial, I'll be back at it.
Also, how do you measure where to put the hooks on the wall and on the back of the headboard so they match and are level. I may have linked it to one of your parties before, but here it is :http://lessthanperfectlifeofbliss.blogspot.com/2011/10/diamond-tufted-ottoman-whew.htmlI love this article very much. Wanting to create that glamourous look for my daughter's room on a frugal budget, I was up for the challenge to make one myself. i'll let you know how it turns out...hope you enjoy your weekend! I will be doing this someday. This is simply amazing Barbara! It's gorgeous! Like almost easy enough for me to give it a try but i'm totally scared! It's simple, thanks to these instructions!I want to thank you for this very detailed post! Thanks!Love your new headboard with the tufting! I haven't ever made my own headboard, but I have recovered a tufted headboard.

Enjoy your blog and look forward to seeing it in my email each morning. Thanks for this great tutorial! i love your IG feed and it made me smile that you are also an indy girl. Using your fingers, manipulate the fabric to form pleats.Once all the buttons are in and stapled securely in the back, you are ready to staple the edges. I am totally doing this! It's just so glam!Oh, and thanks so much for this great tutorial, bookmarked for future reference ;)WOW!! probably more expensive though?Wow! Are. Your headboard and bedding is beautiful! And I did a large tufting job on an ottoman a couple years ago.

I showed you yesterday how we built a bed for B and then improved upon some issues such as extending the height. Using a stud finder I located the studs in the wall and placed the hooks to line up with the studs so that the headboard was secure to the wall. I'm trying to get a reference point for how large to make ours.

Your instructions seemed simple enough for even me to do! We also put some super glue-gel between the front and back of the buttons for extra hold. Good luck! After searching endlessly for one and pricing them between $400-$2000, I came across your site.

Decide on the direction you want your pleats to lay. Can you please tell me how to figure out how many yards of fabric are needed? Wondering how much nailhead trim you used ? What size buttons did you use or recommend using? You solved many mysteries (yay!) Thanks for the fabulous tutorial - I'm ready for a change and tufting is my plan!So beautiful, Sarah. I LOVE it! Thanks!Wow, that is gorgeous! Shel I think it was about 42 inches tall if I remember right! Make any adjustments.Using a ruler and a right corner ruler I planned out where I wanted the buttons to be. So glad you shared your experience with it. Comes in Twin, Full/Queen & King.

Mattress pad instead of foam...DUH!

=) Now I'm wishing I added tufting to mine because yours looks DELICIOUS.Your headboard looks amazing!

And if it does, how do you clean it? Amazing Barbara; this turned out just beautifully!!

I've always wanted a tufted headboard and your instructions make it seem feasible for us to do.

Thank you so much for the easy to follow instructions! Mylène (fellow-blogger (well...just starting) from www.asistershome.blogspot.com)Great job Barbara! You can do this with either one or two drilled holes, depending on what you decided. I'm certain they have the perfect bedding but I'll never find it without making a trip somewhere.
You make everything look so easy. It looks fantastic Sarah, I really love the direction you're going with your master!I LOVE IT! Might have to give this a try..... Wow I am loving this!
