Took the battery out, had a deep charge done, and had it tested by Autozone and my local dealer (under load), and it tested good both times. Flite makes a good point. Put the battery back in and used a volt-a-meter to test the charging system and it was putting out 12.7 volts at idle & 14.2 volts with throttle at the battery. A new fresh battery will keep your electrical system in a healthy state, but an older worn out battery will strain the system till it finally ends up costing you a lot more.That place looks like it would have what you need.

Yes I am aware of that on the idle being faster with the choke on.

Smokey, sad but true on the battery. The caps are connected and you don't want to drive the first one all the way in while the other caps are hanging outside (don't ask me how I know this).With battery charged and capped, it was ready to replace the old dead battery. However the lights are just lower draw semi like fog lights, except light blue lenses. Two hours after filling the battery, I connected the battery charger, and left it to charge untill the charger light changed to green, indicating it was fully charged.3 hours later the charger light  turned green and the battery was ready to be installed.

Never charge the battery at a greater rate than it is made for.
