I have been in other homes and honestly the light looks institutional blue. The colors are based on a units called Kelvins (K). All our bathrooms are dimmable warm LEDs. 7 1

Thanks for giving us new things to think about!Very interesting information. It won’t miraculously make colors that don’t play well together get along.I actually keep sample bulbs from all three shades in my closet, so that I can test my preferred lighting conditions against whatever colors I’m painting/decorating with, when I make changes! ( My starting point is 3000K with a CRI above 90. I'm on my phone and can't find any links/options to do so.

( ( But LED’s have come a long way. My colors are still taupe, grayish purples, deep wine reds and grayish teals.

One had cool fluorescent lighting and the other had warm fluorescent lighting. My home is a MCM and my style is MCM. ) Your cool up warm down philosophy will prove helpful, I'm sure.

But I am not sure what to do with vanity pendants which are off to the side. ) 3

If you have not heard about this… a study was done in two different Alzheimer’s wards. ( They are very bright but definitely different than the other bulbs. ) I am very much affected by ambiance. ) 2700K is a bit too warm for me, but 3000-3500K is usually fine in most cases.

LED bulbs are also available as Daylight bulbs with color temperature in the range of 5,000 - 6,500 K. Natural daylight on clear day is about 5,000K while on an overcast day it's about 6,500K. Question - are the bulbs different for the various settings or is this simply a marketing strategy? ►  They're also dimmable using standard dimmers so you don't have to replace your current dimmer switches.
